Microsoft selects Pandell as one of 20 Companies Worldwide for their Lighthouse Program

Sep 28 2006 | Corporate

Calgary, AB – (September 28, 2006) Pandell Technology Corporation, a leading provider of industry software solutions, announced today that Microsoft has selected Pandell to participate in its Lighthouse program.

As one of only 20 companies selected worldwide for the program, this puts Pandell into an elite group of emerging leaders that provide Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions to customers.

Microsoft believes that SaaS software is emerging as the next big wave in technology. This trend is largely being driven by customers who no longer want to own the software, nor be responsible for its ongoing operational and hardware support.

According to a new study by Forrester Research, 26 percent of enterprise-sized North American and European companies are already using SaaS applications. A year-old survey of SMB firms found just over 50 percent were seriously considering SaaS applications when buying software.

Under the Lighthouse program, Microsoft is making an investment to help select companies grow in the SaaS market space. For Pandell, the investment provides a combination of specialized technical support and co-marketing activities. "Our strong relationship with Microsoft will benefit our customers", says Greg Chudiak, President & CEO of Pandell. "It will further enhance our ability to get our clients up and running faster and help to lower their ongoing support costs."

Pandell Liquid Intelligence is a SaaS platform built on Microsoft's latest .NET technology. It is used to build high-performance web applications that track, visualize, and control key business processes. Pandell Liquid Intelligence includes a built-in development toolset for rapidly building web-based thin client applications, an integration engine for interfacing with other systems, and robust set of application management tools for supporting SaaS solutions. The software has been field-proven in the most demanding environments to deliver enterprise-class security, scalability, reliability, and performance.
