Pandell's 10-Year Anniversary Shows Mature Software Services

Mar 18 2007 | Corporate

Calgary, AB – (March 18, 2007) This year Pandell celebrates ten years of building and supporting enterprise-class software services. As pioneers of the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business approach, we’re proud to have become a recognized industry leader in custom software solutions and legacy application conversion services. We're also pleased to share this anniversary with several of our valued clients and the applications through which we've helped them succeed.

7 Years - Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP)

Pandell has been delighted to work with CAPP for the past seven years. An initial project was embarked upon to create a client information member management system (CIMMS), which would enable interaction among CAPP's stakeholder groups and committee members. Since that initial project began, Pandell has built CAPP's Stewardship Benchmarking application which collects, calculates, and reports on environment, health, safety, and social data collected under the Stewardship Benchmarking Initiative. This long-standing relationship is a reflection of quality of services and support provided by Pandell.

5 Years - Alberta Government EPS/Exclaim Applications

The Alberta Government's EPS and Exclaim applications are web-based, electronic payment systems and expense systems respectfully. For the past five years Pandell has administered these applications and supported the 35,000 government employees and major service providers who use them. Fully integrated with the Peoplesoft system, Exclaim depends on the security of Pandell's PLI architecture for its financial reporting functions.

4 Years - Turner Construction's Online Store

With revenues in excess of $7B, Turner Construction is one of the most well recognized players in the construction industry. In business for over 100 years, Turner has offices all over the world to support its thousands of employees and millions of subcontractors. Four years ago Pandell and Turner partnered up to develop a business-to-business e-commerce initiative that would help Turner further its leadership position in the industry and add value to its customers. The electronic commerce site is used to distribute construction site consumables to its offices and subsidiaries; items which include personal protective and safety equipment, branded items and even computers. Today the site offers more than 36,000 inventory items from over 30 suppliers to the 5,000+ registered users of the application.

"Pandell's e-commerce solution has helped our business become more cost-efficient and promote standardization across the company," says Paul Wypasek, Turner Construction's Director of Marketing and Chief Operating Officer of the Online Store. "The Pandell team has consistently demonstrated a dedication and commitment to responding to the needs of our business."

3 Years - Alberta Government APC Application

Three years ago the Alberta government commissioned Pandell to develop the Alberta Purchasing Connection (APC) application. Built using Pandell's flexible PLI technology, the APC is an enterprise-class, web-based tendering system that is currently used by over 24,000 registered vendors and 3,000 government purchasers. With an average of 250 new opportunities added per month, the APC provides private sector businesses in Alberta, across Canada and beyond, easy and equal access to not only the Province of Alberta's public sector contracting opportunities for goods, services and construction tenders, but also to other provincial and territorial governments' opportunity notices.

"The APC application is a critical component of the Alberta Government's and MASH Sector's tendering process," says Karen MacNaughton, Acting Director for Service Alberta. "Pandell's solution addresses the unique needs of the APC system to meet the Province of Alberta's obligations under the Agreement on Internal Trade and the Alberta-British Columbia Trade, Investment and Labor Mobility Agreement for a transparent, fair, open and competitive public tendering process."
