Jul 01 2008 | Product News

Calgary, AB – (July 01, 2008) Pandell Technology Corporation is one of fourteen Calgary companies named by Calgary Inc. Magazine and Leger Marketing as one of Calgary’s 2008 Best Places to Work. Highlighted in the July/August 2008 feature issue, the magazine was distributed to newsstands and a subscription list that hit over 32,000 Calgary businesses and nearly 160,000 readers. The annual Best Places to Work issue is historically the trendsetting magazine’s most popular issue.

"Pandell has always been a people first company," says Joel Pollard, Pandell’s Vice President, Products and Support. "We’re very happy that our team recognizes how appreciated they are, and how important it is to us that they enjoy coming to work every day."

Calgary's Best Places to Work are selected as a result of an extensive evaluation process. Calgary Inc. and Leger Marketing, a national market research firm, collaboratively designed the selection criteria and process. Based on the themes of leadership, corporate culture, corporate responsibility, employee benefits and corporate reputation, the online survey captures employees' attitudes about their company and others.

The selection process includes analysis of verbatim answers to survey questions including, "What makes a Best Place to Work?" and "Do you ever have problems getting out of bed and going to work in the morning because you don’t like your job or company that day?" As well, a human resources representative at each nominated company is asked to fill out a follow-up survey to provide specific company information such as salary growth, training budgets, staff turnover rates, and annual spending on community sponsorships and charitable giving.

Turning Years of Lost Revenue into Real Value with Pandell Roads🚦

When Harvest Energy discovered their road-use billing hadn’t been completed in three years, they needed a solution fast. Their existing land system couldn’t back-bill, and revenue was slipping away.

After implementing Pandell Roads, a solution built for surface land professionals to automate and generate road use agreements and rental invoices, they cleared years of backlog, automated invoicing, and recovered 40× the cost of the system.

A major win for the team, and a powerful example of how the right technology can uncover hidden value.
