Pandell Delivers Alberta Government's New Electronic Payment System

Jul 20 2009 | Product News

Calgary, AB – (July 20, 2009) Pandell Technology Corporation announced today that a new web-based Electronic Payment System (EPS), built using Pandell's established and secure PLI technology, was successfully launched for the Alberta Government in early May. Delivered on time and on budget, the PLISolution™ was designed and developed in cooperation with project management teams from the Alberta Government, IBM and Pandell. The EPS will continue to be managed, serviced and supported by Pandell in partnership with IBM.

The EPS system is accessible across 1,050 Alberta government organizational units and is anticipated to facilitate approximately 50,000 billing invoices each month. The Alberta Government estimates it will process $33 million of its large volume invoices through its EPS in 2009.

"The EPS PLISolution provides a process that’s three times faster than what the Alberta government was using before," says Cleave Whitaker, Senior EPS Solution Developer. "System enhancements that have massively reduced data entry, improved information flow, and electronically validate vendor invoice details, translate easily to huge reductions in the government’s invoice processing costs."

"With Pandell’s experience and track record of developing and implementing large-scale, enterprise solutions, we were confident we could meet and exceed the high expectations of the Alberta Government," says Greg Chudiak, Pandell's President and CEO. "Using our combined strengths of advanced technology, industry expertise, and a Software-as-a-Service business model, we delivered a great solution and will provide ongoing services to ensure its continued value."
