Venture Publishing Names Pandell as Alberta's Best Workplace

May 24 2013 | Corporate

Calgary, AB – (May 24, 2013) During an annual awards gala held at the Hotel Arts in Calgary on May 23rd, Venture Publishing selected Pandell as Alberta’s 2013 Best Workplace in the category of Perks, Benefits, and Incentives.

Amid a record number of companies nominated this year, Pandell made an impression with the judges for the way it rewards and empowers its employees to manage their own workplace. “What sets Pandell apart is the freedom it gives its employees to not only set their own schedules, but to build their office around their needs – from the personalization of their workspaces, to how they manage their workload,” writes Michael Ganley, Editor of Alberta Venture Magazine.

A few of Pandell’s most forward-thinking perks, benefits & incentives, sited by Alberta Venture, include:

  • A fully stocked food and drink kitchen
  • Personal workspace décor allowance
  • Free gym memberships, TKO, and yoga
  • Paid allowance for charity volunteer work
  • Shared seasonal passes for various attractions
  • Electronics and fitness purchase subsidy
  • Paid education certifications and materials
  • Profit sharing and a share purchase program
  • Staff referral bonus
  • Team-building events and activities

“It’s an honor to be recognized for the perks, benefits and incentive programs we provide for our employees,” says Greg Chudiak, President and CEO at Pandell. “More than half of our recent ten hires were a direct result of staff referrals. This tells us a lot about the importance and value of creating a place where people really want to be. We want to attract and retain the best people at Pandell, so we’ll continue to develop programs that make our company one of the best places to work in Alberta.”

Companies selected for the Alberta’s Best Workplaces list are featured in the cover story of Alberta Venture’s May 2013 issue, and covered online at albertaventure.com.
