Texas-New Mexico Power (TNMP) Chooses Pandell

May 1 2020 | Corporate

May 1, 2020 – Houston, TX – Today Pandell announces Texas-New Mexico Power Co. (TNMP), an electricity transmission and distribution service provider across Texas, has contracted Pandell as its land and GIS software technology partner and will implement Pandell’s cloud-hosted land software suite with embedded Esri GIS tools in Q4, 2020. In addition, Pandell’s Land Records and GIS Mapping Services division will digitize, abstract, and map the company’s 34,000 paper land agreements.

This will be TNMP’s first specialized land software platform, which was sought out to provide a more efficient way for its land and engineering teams to access and manage critical land information. Pandell will provide TNMP a single, integrated Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution that will enable its users to move seamlessly between land records and spatial data in the GIS. From Pandell’s single application suite, TNMP’s business teams will be able to track new development and acquisition projects in real-time and provide field agents with remote access to land records tabular data, mapped land rights, and facility data. Additional system-to-system integrations are expected to follow the initial implementation.

TNMP’s sister-entity, Public Service New Mexico (the state’s largest electricity provider) referred TNMP to Pandell because of the exceptional value it’s gained over the past several years by managing its own land information with Pandell’s land and GIS software suite.

“Our sister utility has been really happy with Pandell’s land system and service work,” said Chris Garety, Director of System Engineering and Land Services at TNMP. “We’re excited to make the transition from paper to digital file management so we can better administer provision obligations and monitor payments and receivables with the benefit of automatic prompts for time-sensitive work and contract expiries. Plus, our team leaders are eager to see our lands and projects laid out on maps so we can report-on and track progress a lot more accurately.”
