Lightsource bp Chooses Pandell

Aug 07 2022 | Corporate

August 7, 2022 (Calgary) – Today Pandell announces Lightsource bp, a leader in the development and management of solar energy projects, has contracted with Pandell to implement its Land & GIS Software across its global operations currently covering 18 countries.

Pandell’s Land & GIS suite will integrate with Lightsource bp’s new corporate Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) System from IFS to provide a single solution and a single source of truth for the global organization.

Pandell’s solution will allow Lightsource bp to administer all its land and solar facility assets, rights-of-ways, and land rights – brought in or granted out – from a single platform. The company will track its acquisition projects, stakeholder communications, land agreements, scanned documents, and GIS mapped land rights, all from Pandell’s state-of-the-art Land & GIS software suite.

“Multi-national corporations are centralizing and democratizing data to establish a new level of access, transparency, and process efficiency,” said Greg Chudiak, Pandell President and CEO. “We are thrilled to have been selected and to be working with Lightsource bp and its team. We are also excited to be partnering with IFS on this project enabling us to fully integrate our products together.”

Pandell’s web-based toolset combines geospatial intelligence leveraging Esri’s GIS software platform with advanced land asset management tools. The Land & GIS suite provides companies with live project tracking to help land and project teams manage new development projects, administrator all its land assets, and manage complex land payments, right-of-way provisions, and landowner communications, with the benefit of advanced reporting and smart analytics throughout.

Lightsource bp was created in 2017 as a joint venture between solar energy producer Lightsource and energy major bp. Now operating in 18 countries, Lightsource bp has developed a range of solar projects since its inception, with a capacity of 5.5GW. The Pandell software implementation kicked off this week with teams from Australia, Taiwan, UK, Ireland, USA, Brazil, Portugal, and Italy.
