Pandell Remembers John Ramsay

Jun 04 2015 | Corporate

Calgary, AB – (Jun 04, 2015) On May 28, 2015, John Ramsay lost his battle with cancer. John was the chairman of Pandell’s advisory board and served in that capacity since its inception in 2002.

John was a former partner with Gowlings and prior to that, Macleod Dixon. John’s specialized practice was focused in the area of technology law and in particular computer software. Throughout his distinguished career, he was considered one of Canada’s leading experts in technology law and wrote a number of books and journals on the subject.

As a dedicated family man, John leaves behind his dear wife of 48 years Margaret, two daughters Melissa and Gillian, and an extended family of grandchildren and relatives.

As an advisory board member and Pandell’s legal counsel, John’s guidance and practical approach to business were instrumental in helping Pandell grow from a fledgling start-up to the successful company that it is today. “I knew John for over 25 years," says Greg Chudiak, Pandell's President & CEO. "He was a first class individual who I always looked up to in business and on a personal level. He will be sadly missed by myself and the members of our management team.”
